Why I Carried a Toy Toilet at the All-American Game

Yes—you read that right. I carried around a toy toilet with me everywhere I went as I was managing the Class of 2027 team at the PBR All-American Game this past weekend.

Why?

Because every single player—no matter how good they are—makes mistakes. Strikeouts happen. Errors happen. Bad calls happen.

The difference between average players and great ones?

👉 They know how to FLUSH it.

That little toilet was a reminder to every player there: once a mistake happens, you have two choices—

  1. Hold onto it and let it clog up your confidence.

  2. Flush it fast, reset, and move on to the next pitch, the next play, the next moment.

Athletics—and life—aren't about being perfect. They're about bouncing back. They're about having a short memory for the bad and a long memory for the lessons.

So here’s my challenge to you: Next time you mess up, don’t carry it around. Flush it. Free yourself up to play free and loose.

Remember: Champions have the quickest flush times.

Bring it on,

-Brandon
